Puzzle Events 2026 — we created the calendar we were looking for ourselves

Anyone active in the puzzle community knows the problem. The next speed puzzle championship? Hidden somewhere on a club page. The puzzle meetup in your own city? Sometimes announced on Instagram, sometimes not. The world championship? Sure, everyone knows it — but exactly when, where, how to register?

We have long wished for a single page where you can simply check everything. 

The Puzzle Event Calendar 2026 is now live on ulmer-puzzleschmiede.de.

What’s behind it

We researched for weeks — puzzleverein.de, speedpuzzle.eu, worldjigsawpuzzle.org, myspeedpuzzling.com, and many other sources. Every date was individually verified. No date without source reference, no event without link.

The result: over 70 events from June to December 2026, sorted by month, with calendar page, address, time if known, and direct link to registration.

The highlights at a glance

The most important first — the two biggest events of the year:

The World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship 2026 takes place from September 16 to 20 in Valladolid, Spain. Individual, pair, and team — three competition formats, hundreds of participants from around the world. The German champions travel there as official representatives.

The European Championship 2026 follows shortly after: November 27 to 29 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Additionally:

Speed puzzle championships in Germany, Denmark, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Costa Rica, and Colombia. Puzzle marathons in Aschheim near Munich, Winterberg, Gothenburg, Budapest, Siegen, and Buchen. 

Puzzle meetups — for everyone who just wants to puzzle together

A special highlight of the calendar is the monthly puzzle meetups of Puzzleverein Deutschland e.V. — in over 20 cities, free, no membership required, open to everyone.

Stuttgart, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Heilbronn, Kiel, Essen, Bielefeld, Siegen, Fulda, Jena, Ingolstadt, Nuremberg, Rudolstadt, Karlsruhe, Niendorf, and more.

Each meetup has its own detail page on the Puzzleverein website with exact address, time, and registration option — we link directly there.

Where we are involved ourselves

As Ulmer Puzzleschmiede, we are not just observers — we are part of the community ourselves. Events where we are sponsors are marked in the calendar:

We are supporting the Danish Puzzle Marathon in Køge in October for the first time this year, and we are already participating for the second time in the 10-Hour Puzzle Marathon in Aschheim in November. 

We believe that speed puzzling and the entire puzzle community in Germany and Europe will continue to grow. This calendar is our small contribution to that.
