What an Easter celebration! Ulm Puzzle Workshop was there – a look back at the Easter rally of the Turntiger Straß with the Rothtalfoxes

Beaming children's eyes, Easter bags full of surprises, and a forest full of excitement and play opportunities – the Easter rally at the Rothtalfoxes' forest kindergarten in Straß was a complete success. And we as Ulm Puzzle Workshop were able to be there live.

A day we will not forget anytime soon.

Adventure in the forest – the Easter rally in pictures

From the very first minute, the excitement was palpable. Over 100 little "Rothtalfoxes" set off with shining eyes through the forest kindergarten – hunting for hidden Easter eggs, tricky tasks, and the very special Easter treasure.

What impressed us most was the children's teamwork. Solving puzzles together, helping each other, including even the youngest – that was not a given, but something very special. 

Our puzzles as an Easter surprise

As Ulm Puzzle Workshop, we supported the Easter rally with puzzles and donations – and were there in person. The joy at the handover was priceless. Who would have thought children could be so enthusiastic about puzzles?

We came up with something special and framed a puzzle with foxes, deliberately leaving out five pieces. We packed these five missing pieces along with countless other puzzle pieces into the children's Easter bags.

The task was simple – yet exciting: Does your piece fit into the puzzle? Anyone who had a matching piece in their bag won a puzzle from us.

What emerged was more than just a contest. Children who might never have held a puzzle before tried it out. Some stood in front of the frame for a long time, thinking. Some cheered. And everyone felt that their piece could matter.

That’s exactly what fascinates us about puzzling: every piece has its place. And sometimes you are the one who completes the whole.

For us, this moment was a reminder of why we do what we do: to bring joy. Whether to adults who unwind while puzzling – or to children whose eyes light up when discovering. The finished puzzle then found its place with the Rothtalfüchse. 

What connects a forest kindergarten with a puzzle company

At first glance, a forest kindergarten and a puzzle company don’t have much in common. But if you look closer, you realize: we both care about the same thing.

Deceleration: In the forest as at the puzzle table, the moment counts – not the next notification.

Concentration: Children in the forest learn to be attentive. That’s exactly what happens when puzzling.

Community: Whether it’s the Easter rally or a big family puzzle – both bring people together.

Sustainability: Forest kindergartens teach a connection to nature – we produce with sustainable materials in Germany.

Such moments don’t just happen – they are the result of many hours of preparation, passion, and a huge amount of love for the children. That was clearly felt.

All proceeds from the sale of coffee, cake, and drinks went this year to David (7) from Nersingen, who is battling cancer.
